There is a wedding tradition that involves lifting the bride and groom above the crowd at a wedding celebration. Further, as in Orthodox Custom, they´re not supposed to touch. This photo represents that tradition… and also shows how scary it can be to be hoisted up on a chair, holding on with only one hand, and relying on the strength of others to keep you up there!
The red eye is a little scary, but I love the fact that my friend Rachel captured this moment!
