Ruth’s SOLSC: Moments.
Recently I uploaded 218 photos from the past nine days. (It’s a good thing I’m ruthless with the delete button, eh?) As I was looking through them, searching for a SOLS to share, I realized my summer is being composed of one little moment after another. How lucky am I?
I grabbed my writer’s notebook and made a list of these moments. Here’s one of them:
Friends –
Different on the outside,
So much alike on the inside
Two
Adopted
Laid back
Happy
Consumed with the moment
Bringers of joy
I hope and pray and wish a lifetime of friendship for these two. It is good to grow old with a friend.

I am also good about using my delete key without any second thoughts but the picture you selected is PERFECT and should be printed as a photograph. It would be great for PHoto Fridays as I think about it…

Today I wrote about getting kids started writing on the first day of school. I am writing a presentation so I am going through my files on topic development.
I wish a lifetime of friendship for them too. Great poem.
I love how they are both cradling the balls, with the play house behind them. It captures childhood friendship perfectly.
