Just as a side note, I used a “slice of life” I wrote last week as an example during a lesson. I had been teaching proper use of quotations marks and using dialogue to make a story more interesting. Hooray for the weekly challenge which is a great motivator to me.
This is a memoir instead of a slice, but I’ve been writing a lot of memoir lately with my students. If you scroll down you’ll see my revised memoir on Cowardice that I conferenced with my students on.
