Today’s SOLSC Coincides with The National Day on Writing
Our weekly Slice of Life Story Challenge coincides with The National Day on Writing today. Celebrate this special day by doing one, or more, of the following things as a writer:
3) Take part in a live webcast from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. today. (Click here to learn more about that.)
We’d love to learn more about how you’re celebrating The National Day on Writing in your classroom. So, if you feel so inclined, please leave a comment about that.
As always, happy writing!

Just as a side note, I used a “slice of life” I wrote last week as an example during a lesson. I had been teaching proper use of quotations marks and using dialogue to make a story more interesting. Hooray for the weekly challenge which is a great motivator to me.

This is a memoir instead of a slice, but I’ve been writing a lot of memoir lately with my students. If you scroll down you’ll see my revised memoir on Cowardice that I conferenced with my students on.
Whoops! The link to the Emily Dickinson Slice of life:
