Slice of Life Story Challenge

Slice 2012: 31 of 31

You made it! Take the time to celebrate and relish the fact that YOU are a writer. It’s been an honor to write alongside you this month. The slices and comments and encouragement has made the work worthwhile. Thank you for your support.

For month long slicers, return tomorrow and enter the giveaway by commenting on the April 1 giveaway post. Please read it carefully so you will know Stacey’s specific directions in order to enter for a chance at the prizes.

Remember to return on Tuesday to continue your writing habit. By participating on Tuesdays throughout the year, you become a year long slicer and the community we’ve enjoyed in March continues. Can’t wait to keep reading your slices.

Link your slice in the comments and then respond to other slicers.

  1. I had to scroll fast to the end, because I feel like I’m going to cry reading people’s comments! I look forward to some leisurely time tomorrow reading everyone’s posts, and saying, “Good job. See you again soon…” Here are my reflections.

  2. I’m kind of sad that today is the last Slice of Life but I will continue writing on my blog every Tuesday. Thanks to Choice Literacy for mentioning this in their newsletter!

Today, I reflect on my monthly writing topics, and what seems to be important to me this month:

  3. We slicers joined together as teachers and writers have shared our humanity, our joys, our frustrations, and much more. You have truly affirmed me as a slicer and have bolstered my spirit. My voice feels heard, affirmed, and recognized. So much so, I even tried a rhyming poem.

Thank you for everything fellow slicers. See you on Tuesdays.

  4. Reflections on a month of slicing
I’ve been absent from Two Writing Teachers for slices 17-30 (however those slices were written–just in my notebook), but I thought I’d post my last slice today.

  5. Don’t stop now everyone – it has been an incredible month. I have enjoyed all of it – the writing, the reading, the leaving of footprints.
I have learned much and look forward to continuing to practice along-side those of you who visit on Tuesdays.
Here is a last poem as I head off into spring break – and probably no internet so this is it until I’m back for the regular SOL.

Thank you Stacy and Ruth for setting this up and thanks to all the writers. I have learned to much. You comments have helped me grow and supported me through a long but lovely month of writing.
    Looking forward to Tuesday!
