Last week Tara, Betsy, Dana, Anna, Stacey and I wrote about the importance of having writing goals for your students: how to set them, how to keep track of them, how to make them visible, and how to make them a part of your daily classroom life.
In cased you missed it, here’s a round up of our posts:
On Monday, Dana wrote about setting individualized editing goals.
On Wednesday, Stacey shared ways to get to know your students better as writers.
On Thursday, Tara wrote about using a variety of mid-year assessments in order to look back and look ahead toward new goals.
On Friday, Betsy’s post was about setting goals in kid-friendly ways with young writers.
On Saturday, my post (Beth) was about the role of writing goals in conferring with students.
But wait, that’s not all! You can join the conversation and glean even more tips by participating in our Twitter chat, tomorrow night, Monday, February 2 from 8:30-9:30. Follow the hashtag #TWTBlog to join in!
I agree with you one 100 percent. I think it is very important, even at a young age we start setting goals for our-self and teaching children how to set them too.
